Prof. Nicolás Andruskiewitsch

Andruskiewitsch

Nicolás Andruskiewitsch is a prominent Argentine mathematician, best known for his outstanding contributions to the theory of Hopf algebras and quantum groups. His work has been published in some of the most prestigious mathematical journals and presented at several renowned international conferences, including the International Congress of Mathematicians. In the mini-course described below, Andruskiewitsch will present results obtained over the past twenty years, where quantum groups and Hopf algebras intersect with the theory of finite simple groups. He will also discuss what is currently known and what remains to be discovered.
